Officials of South Coast Railway (SCoR), Vijayawada Division, organized a gathering of passengers called ‘Rail Jan Samvaad’ at Gudivada in Krishna district on Tuesday (October 13, 2026).

The session was aimed at enhancing public participation, gathering feedback from passengers and addressing issues related to passenger amenities and sanitary conditions in trains and railway stations, Divisional Chief Operating Officer A Suresh Reddy said.

“It has created a platform for passengers and members of the Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC), frontline staff and officers to interact and discuss various issues,” said passenger G. Kishore Babu.

“Passengers were facing serious problems due to inadequate accommodation in Narsapur trains,” said Gopi Krishna, another passenger, who urged the railway officials to increase the number of coaches to provide better accommodation.

Passenger Revathi, a representative of an NGO, requested the railway officials to establish a plantation in the station premises to promote an ecological environment.

Member of DRUCC Ch. Mallikarjuna Rao submitted representations to the officials on various complaints of passengers.
