Marching to Supreme Court to demand recall of CEC, end ‘chori elections’: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said opposition parties, civil society and youth are marching to the Supreme Court on Monday (October 12, 2026) to submit a memorandum to the Chief Justice of India, demanding an end to ‘chori voting’, resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar and halt to SIR.

In a post on X, Mr Gandhi said that by marching to the Supreme Court, Indians would be united across party, gender, caste, community and state.

“Yesterday, the youth of the nation came out to Delhi to protest peacefully. They came with love in their hearts, not hatred or anger. They were beaten, both by the police and by BJP goons. This is not the India we want. Tomorrow we march to the Supreme Court as Indians, united beyond party, gender, caste, community and state. The youth, all opposition parties in India, will believe in the Constitution, all opposition parties in India come with us,” he said in his post.
