A man held for illegal possession of arms and more than 100 crude bombs in Chickballapur

Batlahalli police in Chintamani taluk of Chickballapur district arrested a 35-year-old shooting suspect and seized a country weapon and 146 country bombs allegedly kept illegally in his house.

The accused has been identified as Narasimhappa, a resident of Bodagundlahalli village.

Acting on a tip-off, police teams from Kencharlahalli Police Station and Batlahalli Police Station raided the premises.

During the search, police reportedly found and seized a country weapon and 146 country bombs and arrested Narasimhappa.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the bombs were stored for hunting wild animals. He is suspected of being the main supplier of arms to the people in and around the village.

The police are interrogating the accused to find out the origin of the weapons and explosives.
