Those traveling to railway stations, Inter-State Bus Terminals (ISBTs) or airports via New Delhi and Central Delhi should expect possible delays and additional security checks. According to police sources, a possible restriction on vehicles entering New Delhi after 6 am is also being considered.
Commuters can call 1095 or 011-25844444 for transportation assistance. They should also follow Delhi Traffic Police official website and social media channels for updates.
4. Internet: Mobile services suspended near Jantar Mantar
According to sources, mobile internet services are to be suspended within a radius of 4 km from Jantar Mantar from 10:00 PM on October 9 to 10:00 PM on October 10. The Union Home Ministry has approved the decision, sources said.
The restriction applies to mobile internet services in the specified area. Internet services in the rest of Delhi are expected to remain unaffected.
The suspension is part of security measures to prevent unauthorized gathering and maintain law and order during the proposed protest.
Residents and visitors to the affected area should expect a possible interruption of mobile data access for the indicated period.
5. Schools and colleges: Online courses, PTM changes
Several schools and colleges in Delhi have moved classes online or rescheduled parent-teacher meetings ahead of the protest.
The changes come amid concerns about traffic disruptions, diversions and safety restrictions that could affect students, teachers and parents traveling across the city.
6. Shops and Offices: Connaught Place closure advice
The New Delhi Traders Association has advised shops, offices, restaurants and other commercial establishments in Connaught Place to remain closed on Saturday as a precautionary measure.
The association urged shop owners and users of commercial premises to remain vigilant and cooperate with the advisory, citing the possibility of property damage and injuries during the expected protests.
This notice applies to commercial establishments in Connaught Place. This should not be construed as a blanket closure order for every market and business in Delhi.

9. Security: Intensive deployment and checks in Delhi
The Delhi Police denied permission for the protest proposed by the CJP, citing short notice of the event and alleged non-compliance of instructions during the earlier protest.
Joint Commissioner of Police Nupur Prasad said the request was made on October 7, just three days before the proposed assembly, while existing rules require requests to be made at least 10 days in advance.
Security measures include the reported deployment of tens of thousands of police and paramilitary personnel, with more than 120 companies of the Central Armed Police Force expected to be involved.
The New Delhi district has been divided into 20 zones for closer monitoring. Police also conducted mock drills and stepped up checks at the capital’s borders, railway stations, bus terminals, hotels, guesthouses and other sensitive locations.
