(Photo by Reuters) NEW DELHI: India on Thursday added another silver medal to its 2026 Asian Games tally as Manu Francis and Prince Noble finished second in the men’s scull event in Aichi-Nagoya.The Indian duo secured silver in the ninth and final race at Kaiyoh Yacht Harbor by finishing second in the race to confirm their podium finish. Their medal was also India’s first in sailing at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.The silver took India’s medal total to 62 – 10 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze.

Francis and Noble finished the competition with 23 clear points, with Chinese pair Wen Zaiding and Liu Tian taking the gold after amassing 16 points.The Indian duo had a consistent campaign, recording three second places and one race win. The Indian women’s squash team settled for bronze after losing 1-2 to Hong Kong in the semi-finals. The result took India’s squash medal tally at Aichi-Nagoya to four.Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh earlier won silver medals in singles, while Joshna Chinappa and Velavan Senthilkumar won bronze in mixed doubles.With the sailing silver added to the tally, India moved to 62 medals at the Games, including 10 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze.
