Army Havildar of Markapuram district killed in an accident in Arunachal Pradesh
An Army Havildar from Markapuram district was killed in a road accident while on duty in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.
According to information received here, Havildar Kuvvarapu Kishan (35) was a native of Pandillapalli village in Bestavaripeta mandal of Markapuram district.
His remains were flown from Guwahati to Hyderabad in a special flight on Wednesday and brought to his native village by road. He is survived by his parents, wife, young son and younger brother.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the soldier’s death in a post on X. He described Mr. Kishan as a “brave son of our Andhra soil” and said his courageous service to the nation would always be remembered.
Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh also condoled Havildar’s death and said he has learned that the soldier’s mortal remains have reached his native village.
