The University of Adikavi Nannaya is ready to improve the green campus cover. In addition, the university proposed to set up a botanical garden in its premises. The forest department will help the university in implementing this initiative.
On Tuesday, Vice -Rector of the University of prof. S. Prasanna Sri and the assistant conservator of the Forest NV Sivarama Prasad checked places on the university campus to create a proposed botanical garden.
Prasna Sri said, “We have looked at several places to create a botanical garden. This garden will have various plant species and will contribute to improving the green cover in the area.
NV Sivarama Prasad assured that the forest department would help identify plant species suitable for this region.
