Odisha’s administrative service officer was brutally confused in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), which on Monday (June 30, 2025) caused shocked reactions of officials and opposition political parties.
Soon after Ratnakar Sahoo, another commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, took part in a weekly complaint meeting in the corporation building, was pulled and defeated by a group of people, said Bharatiya Janata’s supporters (BJP).
The officer was injured. Later he filed a complaint against a local police station.

“I just hope Mr. Majhi will order the immediate steps to be taken to restore faith in his government, and have not allowed this abominable act not to be punished, such as an attack on an officer of the former governor.
The evening was organized by BJD corporations led by the mayor of Sulochana Das Protest along Janpath, the busy artery in Bhubaneswar. The movement of the vehicle along the road stopped. Soon other BJD leaders joined the protest and put pressure on the administration to act. When the city police carried out a preventive arrest of three people associated with the attack, the situation returned to normal.
