Four women workers killed, three others injured in a collision between a truck and an autorickshaw in Mancherial district

Four women workers died and three others sustained serious injuries after a truck collided head-on with the autorickshaw they were traveling in on National Highway 363 in Mancherial district at Naspur on Monday morning. The women were on their way to Mancherial when the accident happened.

The impact threw the passenger onto the road. While two women workers died on the spot, two others succumbed to their injuries at a hospital in Mancherial later in the day.

The deceased have been identified as Lakshmi, Soundarya, Sumalatha and Sonia, all from different villages in Mandamarri mandal.

Labor and Employment Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy expressed grief over the deaths and personally announced financial assistance of ₹25,000 each to the families of the deceased and ₹10,000 each to the injured.
