The GWMC officials requested to speed up the UGD tender process

Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Secretary and Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) TK Sridevi has directed officials to speed up the tender process for the proposed underground drainage (UGD) project in Warangal.

While reviewing the project through video conferencing from Hyderabad on Saturday, Ms. Sridevi sought details on the progress so far and the status of the tender process. It directed officials to complete pending technical and administrative formalities at the earliest and invite bids.

She said the UGD project would improve sewage management and urban infrastructure in the city and asked officials to coordinate to avoid delays in its implementation.

The meeting also discussed proposals submitted to secure financial resources within the Urban Challenge Fund. Officials discussed the steps needed to mobilize funds and obtain necessary approvals.

GWMC Commissioner T. Venkanna and other technicians participated in the review.
