Record revenue for Thiruvonam lottery, says Lotteries Directorate; draw on September 26

As the 2026 Thiruvonam lottery draw is scheduled for Saturday (September 26, 2026), the state lottery directorate said that all the 90 thousand tickets printed have been sold.

Priced at ₹500 per ticket, the lottery carries a first prize of ₹30 lakh, the highest prize of any lottery in Kerala so far. Palakkad recorded the highest sales (20.95 lakh tickets), followed by Thrissur (10.62 lakh) and Thiruvananthapuram (8.64 lakh), Lotteries Director Anju KS said on Friday.

Tickets sold by District Lottery Offices and Branches through approved agencies and vendors will be considered for the draw. Health Minister K. Muraleedharan will launch the draw at 1:30 pm at Gorkhi Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, where the draw is usually held. Mr. Muraleedharan will also launch a Pooja lottery on the occasion. Ms. Anju will preside.

Thiruvonam bumper tickets were issued in TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL series. Chief Minister VD Satheesan launched this year’s Thiruvonam bumper in July. The lottery prizes are ₹125.56 crore.
