India’s Raiza Dhillon (AP) The Indian women’s skeet team of Raiza Dhillon, Maheshwari Chauhan and Parinaaz Dhaliwal clinched the bronze medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Wednesday, finishing with a total score of 331.Raiza and Parinaaz scored 111 out of a possible 125, while Maheshwari contributed 109 as the Indian trio secured a place on the podium. However, India narrowly missed out on another medal in the team final as Esha Singh, Bhaker and Suruchi finished behind bronze medalists Vietnam by two tenths.India won a record 22 shooting medals, including seven gold, nine silver and six bronze at the previous Asian Games in Hangzhou.Elsewhere, Jay Meena made history by securing India’s first ever Asian Games soft tennis medal. Meena staged a sensational comeback against Sherwin Nuguita in the quarter-finals, overcoming a 3-5 deficit to win 4-3 in the decider. In the semi-finals, he will face either the Japanese Takuya Kurosaka or the Chinese from Taipei, Yu-sung Chang.
