The police confiscated approximately 65 kg of Ganja in two separate incidents and arrested two people. The search was carried out on Wednesday in the city of Arcot Town and Katpadi.
The RPF police team performed surprising trains checks at Katado Station. The team searched Ernakulam Express, who was on his way to Chennai, and found two abandoned hiking bags in a general compartment. When they opened the bag, they found two packets that contained 5.5 kg of Ganja.
The initial investigation revealed that two people got to the station after they noticed the police team. They left the shipment and fled from the place. The case was registered by Katpadi RPF. Police also analyzed the CCTV shots to pick up the duo.
In the second incident of the Police Arcot Taluk, K. Vasanthakumara (24 years old) and B. Chandra (25) from Visakhapatnam during a surprising control. The duo looked suspicious and found to have 60 kg of Ganja. They were stored in the central prison in Vellore.
