
A 24 -year -old woman died after her father, subordinate to the subordinate inspector of the police forces Central Reserve (CRPF), shot her to marry his wish, the police said on Sunday (April 27, 2025).
The incident occurred on Saturday evening in Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Chopda, in the Mahari in the Jalgaon district.
Kirana Mangle’s daughter, Tripti, married Avinash Waghe two years ago and a few lived in the PUNE district. On the night of April 26, Mr. Mangle launched fire for his daughter and son -in -law as they visited the child to participate in the wedding of the relative. Tripti Wagh died on the spot; Avinash Wagh was critically injured.
“The accused arrived at the wedding point after he learned of his daughter’s arrival and allegedly started fire and Avinash. Three laps were fired and the tripti was dying on the spot, and Avinash was injured after being hit by a bullet and another bullet on his hands.”
Mr. Wagh was moved to the Jalgaon district hospital and the case was registered late on Saturday evening, the police said.
Mr. Reddy said Hindu that the accused was booked according to sections 103 (punishment for murder) and 109 (attempted murder) Bharatiya nyaya Sanhit (BNS) and § 25 of the Weapons Act (illegal possession and use of firearms). The police also caught the gun used in the incident.
