Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday (September 14, 2026) greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and prayed for peace and prosperity in the lives of all.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in Jharkhand with traditional fervor amid heightened security.

“May Lord Shri Ganesh bestow happiness, peace and prosperity in everyone’s life and remove all obstacles to make life auspicious,” Mr Gangwar wrote on X.

The main puja committees started opening their pandals for devotees from Sunday (September 13) evening.

“Heartiest greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi – a festival dedicated to the worship of Lord Shri Ganesha, remover of obstacles and giver of auspiciousness,” the Jharkhand CM wrote on X.

He said, “May Lord Shri Ganesh remove all obstacles and hindrances from everyone’s life and bless us with happiness, peace, prosperity and success. May love, harmony and joy prevail among all – that is my heartfelt wish.”

“The Jharkhand police have made adequate security arrangements at major puja pandals in Ranchi and other cities of the state, including Dhanbad and Jamshedpur,” a police official said.
