Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has asked organizers of Ganesh mandaps to share details of venues and invited guests with local police commissioners to facilitate security and traffic arrangements during the festival.
Addressing a review meeting on Ganesh celebrations in the Assembly on Saturday (12 September 2026), he said the government had resumed the tradition of conducting a review to understand the problems faced by festival organizers. He urged the organizers to inform in advance about the mandaps and invited guests.

Such information would help the police take precautionary measures and respond effectively to any unforeseen events, he said. Preliminary details of mandap locations would also facilitate traffic management and deployment of security personnel, he added.
Investments can be attracted to Hyderabad only if the city remains peaceful, the Chief Minister said, stressing the need to ensure that law and order is not disrupted during the celebrations. He sought the cooperation of the mandap organizers while maintaining peace and security.

Mr. Reddy said the state was providing free electricity to Ganesh mandaps, a facility he claimed was not available anywhere else in the country. Organizers have been asked to apply to the relevant authorities to avail the benefit.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that arrangements for immersion of Ganesha idols were incorporated in the design and construction of lakes being developed in the city, in line with the facilities created for Bathukamma celebrations.
