Six prison employees in Sub-Jail Gudalur were suspended after reportedly physically attacked the underlying cashier in prison in Nilgiris.
Sources said the attack victim identified as Nizamudeen, the resident of Padanthorai in Gudalur, accused of selling narcotic substances in Gudalur, was filed in prison when he was recently attacked by five prison employees, led to suffering injuries. The sources said the Nizamudeen family had approached the judiciary and the district administration that was looking for their intervention because they were afraid of its safety.
Then an investigation included in prison, which included officials from the income department and judge from the Gudalur court, which led to the suspension of six people identified as Gangadharan, Gudalur Sub-Jail’s representative of the Superintendent, Gobia and Gobia.
