Naomi Osaka turns heads in a stunning Thom Browne outfit at the US Open
Naomi Osaka turned heads again at the US Open, arriving at Arthur Ashe Stadium for her second-round clash against Katerina Siniak in her own Law Roach-esque Thom Browne creation.
The all-white ensemble featured a double-collar sheer silk gazar jacket with a structured silhouette, silver and white tennis racket appliqués and tailored belt detailing.
A flowing mesh train added drama to the look as Osaka headed to the court. Underneath, she wore a silver version of her Nike tracksuit with basketball net-inspired mesh, continuing the basketball theme of her US Open wardrobe.
The look was in stark contrast to her outfit in the first round against Anastasia Zakharova. Osaka paid tribute to NBA legend Allen Iverson in a worn tunic with a hood decorated with newspaper clippings and a voluminous white tulle train.
From Iverson to Thom Browne, Osaka gave each US Open appearance its own fashion identity.

OSAKA SURVIVES AGAINST SINIAK
Osaka’s fashion statement was followed by a much tougher battle on the court defeated Siniakova 6-2, 5-7, 6-1. The 13th seed made an impressive start against Siniakova, cruising through the opening set and moving ahead in the second.
However, the Czech player fought back as Osaka’s unforced errors began to increase. Osaka was broken on serve for the match at 5-3 and Siniak eventually took the second set to force a decider.
Osaka regrouped in the final set and quickly gained control. She raced to a 3-0 lead, survived two break points in the fifth game and eventually closed out the victory to secure a place in the third round.
The two-time US Open winner will next face Elise Mertens, who defeated Spain’s Kaitlin Quevedo 6:4, 6:4 to advance.
For Osaka, the tournament has already produced two very different fashion statements and two victories. The question now is what he will wear and how far he can go when he returns for the third round.
