Jana Sena Party (JSP) senior leader and Parvatipuram in-charge Adada Mohana Rao on Wednesday said Parvatipuram-Manyam district has witnessed significant progress as Deputy Chief Minister and JSP President Pawan Kalyan has taken several initiatives for the rapid progress of the tribal-dominated district. On the occasion of Mr. Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, Mr. Rao and party leaders Paila Satyanarayana, Reddi Karuna and others undertook several charity activities including blood donation camps, distribution of clothing materials to needy people.

They also held rallies after offering special prayers in Mr. Pawan’s name at several temples.

Mr. Rao said that Mr. Pawan, who looks after the Panchayatraj and Forest Departments, has released funds for the development of roads in the hilly terrain of the tribal areas.

Bringing Kumki elephants from Karnataka has provided quick relief to people who were worried about crop damage due to movement of wild elephants, he said, adding that well-trained Kumki elephants are guiding wild elephants to move to forest areas instead of roaming in villages and residential areas of the district.
