Foundation stone laid for ₹12 crore road and central lighting in Khammam

The Congress government is committed to developing Khammam as a model city by strengthening its civic and road infrastructure with a futuristic vision, said Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao.

He was addressing a public meeting after the foundation stone for the BT road from Cotton Market in Prakashnagar to Dhamsalapuram Road and central lighting at an estimated cost of ₹ 12 crore was laid in Khammam on Monday.

He said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had sanctioned ₹ 250 crore for the expansion of drinking water supply in Khammam.

The minister directed the municipal authorities to take immediate steps to construct overhead water tanks to ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the city residents.
