Arun Dhumal will be re-elected unopposed to the IPL Governing Council

Arun Singh Dhumal and Khairul Jamal Majumdar will be re-elected unopposed to the IPL Governing Council at the BCCI Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 18 September.

BCCI Electoral Officer AK Joti has issued a notification for the election of two posts in the IPL Board of Governors under Article 28 of the BCCI Constitution.

Two elected members of the General Assembly serve a one-year term and must stand for re-election at the General Assembly. Nominations will be accepted on September 9 and 10, and the final list of candidates will be published on September 12 after review.

Dhumal, who heads the IPL Governing Council, represents Himachal Pradesh while Majumdar represents Mizoram.

The other two representatives of the general body on the seven-member board are BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and treasurer Raghuram Bhat. The remaining members are the CEO of BCCI, the representative of the Indian Cricketers Association and the CAG nominee.
