Punjab’s chances in the playoffs
Punjab Kings (PBKS) are currently fourth in the IPL 2026 points table with 15 points from 14 matches but their playoff qualification is completely out of their hands. If RR win this afternoon’s match against MI, they will reach 16 points and automatically secure the 4th spot, eliminating Punjab immediately. If RR lose to MI, Punjab will then look at the evening game. If DC beats KKR, KKR will be stuck on 13 points and DC will reach only 14 points. As Punjab have 15 points, they qualify safely.
