House owner’s son-in-law, grandson revealed as ‘masterminds of dacoity’

Karimnagar police claimed to have cracked the recent domestic dacoity case by arresting three persons from Uttar Pradesh.

Police have identified the house owner’s son-in-law and grandson Azmath Ali as the alleged masterminds of the July 22 dacoity in which armed robbers looted gold and silver ornaments and ₹21 lakh in cash at Bhagathnagar in Karimnagar.

Police teams traced three members of the gang to Meerut in Uttar Pradesh and arrested them near a railway station on Wednesday. The arrested have been identified as Bhure (22), Salman (22) and Haseen (19), all from Meerut. The trio were produced before a local court and were taken to Karimnagar on a transit warrant, police said.

The police recovered 43.67 grams of gold and 64.98 grams of silver ornaments and ₹2.09 million in cash from them. Efforts are on to arrest the alleged masterminds, Razauddin and his son Azeem Raza, son-in-law and grandson of Azmath Ali.
