Hence, both will not go with Team India for the two-Test tour of Sri Lanka in August, while it will be the first international engagement for Subhadeep, who was the coach of the India A teams in the past.During India’s tour of England, Ten Doeschate informed BCCI of his decision to quit despite the board offering him an extension till 2027. Although BCCI wanted to retain him, the former Dutch all-rounder declined the offer citing personal reasons. With a young family, Ten Doeschate decided to step back from the demands of international cricket and his relentless travel schedule.Meanwhile, coach T Dilip is parting ways with the national team after his tenure ends. He will not go with the team for the upcoming Test tour of Sri Lanka.Ten Doeschate joined the Indian coaching staff in July 2024 after former India opener Gautam Gambhir replaced Rahul Dravid as head coach following India’s T20 World Cup triumph. After working closely with Gambhir during their successful stint with Kolkata Knight Riders, the former Dutch all-rounder was brought into the national team by Gambhir along with bowling coach Morne Morkel.During Ten Doeschate’s tenure, India won the Champions Trophy and Asia Cup in 2025 and successfully defended the T20 World Cup in 2026, although the Test side had a tough time, losing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia before suffering series defeats against New Zealand (3-0) and South Africa (2-0) at home.
