Five SCR employees receive safety awards

Five South Central Railway (SCR) employees from Secunderabad and Nanded divisions received the ‘Employee of the Month’ safety award for June at the hands of General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Monday.

The awardees represented various safety categories, including track maintenance, switchman, senior technician and station master. The Director General congratulated the employees and appreciated their dedication and determination to ensure safe operation of the railways.

Mr. Srivastava also reviewed the night inspections conducted by senior officers of Engineering, Operations, Commerce, Electrical and Signals and Telecommunications Departments. He stressed the need for increased vigilance at Road Under Bridges (RUBs) which are prone to waterlogging during monsoon.

During the review, the divisional railway managers briefed him about the preventive measures being implemented in the zones, including installation of barricades, deployment of round-the-clock watchmen and sharing of photographs every four hours to ensure round-the-clock monitoring and surveillance, according to a press release.
