Keep up with new technologies, SRU Chancellor urges students

University Chancellor SR A. Varada Reddy urged the students to keep abreast of new technologies and constantly upgrade their skills to meet the evolving professional requirements. On Monday, he was addressing an orientation program here on campus for his new batch of first-year engineering students and their parents.

Vice-Chancellor Deepak Garg encouraged students to embrace collaboration, peer learning and active participation in the classroom. Dean-Operations and Growth R. Archana Reddy highlighted the university’s support for careers, higher education and entrepreneurship, noting that the graduating batch of 2026 secured more than 1,500 internships and 1,530 placement offers, including the highest package of ₹ 44 lakh per annum from Amazon. She also said that the university has achieved 100% placement in agriculture. More than 5,000 students and parents participated in the program.

The university said the incoming batch includes students from all districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, more than 20 states across India and several countries abroad. Professional Vice-Chancellor V Mahesh and Registrar PV Ramana were present.
