Hyderabad Hospital names Kargil Vijay Diwas as ContiRun 2026, attracts 800 participants

Continental Hospitals Hyderabad organized ContiRun 2026, a community fitness initiative to observe Kargil Vijay Diwas at its Gachibowli campus on Sunday and gathered around 800 participants to promote preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle.

Organized by the in-house clinic, the event, themed ‘Run for your health, run for a fit community’, included a 2km fun run and a 5km timed run. The goal of the initiative was to raise awareness of chronic disease prevention through regular physical activity.

Addressing the participants, Commissioner of Police Cyberabad M. Ramesh lauded the hospital for organizing a fitness event on Kargil Vijay Diwas and said such initiatives encourage people to adopt a healthier lifestyle. He expressed hope that more community wellness programs would be organized in the future.

Raghu N. Reddy, Director, Continental Hospitals, said on the occasion that the event reflects the hospital’s commitment to promote preventive healthcare outside the hospital environment. Continental Hospitals founder and chairman Guru N. Reddy said regular exercise not only improves physical and mental health but also helps reduce the risk of lifestyle-related diseases.
