The Visakhapatnam district administration has completed digitization of census forms of all 20,23,009 voters under Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 and the draft voter list will be released on July 31, District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore said.

In a statement, the Collector said that distribution, collection and digitization of enumeration forms has been completed for voters in 1980 polling stations in the district. The database has been updated to incorporate details of voters who have submitted census forms and also those who have been categorized as absent, shifted, deceased or duplicate (ASDD). Officials also conducted new field verification of voters who were initially classified as ASDD after they did not receive census forms by July 14, improving the quality of the electoral database.

Mr. Kishore said the number of “no mapping” cases has come down from 1,80,725 to 27,555, or 1.36% of the electorate, and logical discrepancies from 5,48,723 to 2,02,323, or about 10% of the electorate. The number of notifications to be issued after the release of the draft list fell from 7,29,448 to 2,29,878.

The Collector said that the names of 2,40,209 voters in the ASDD category would not be included in the draft voter list. Voters were advised to check their names and details after the template was released. Inclusion applications can be made via Form 6 and correction requests via Form 8 between 31 July and 30 August. The final voter list will be published on October 3, 2026, after disposal of claims and objections, he said. Voters can contact the Electoral Commission’s helpline at 1950 or 0891-2590100 or contact points at the constituency and district levels.
