JPMorgan’s Lorna Hajdini says ‘sex slave’ flooded with terrifying, abusive emails after case: ‘Kill yourself’ | Today’s news

JPMorgan Chase chief executive Lorna Hajdini has claimed she has been receiving creepy and threatening emails, including messages intimidating her with death threats, amid her ongoing legal battle with ex-banker Chirayu Rana, who accused Hajdini of turning him into a “sex slave”.

Hajdini countersued Rana, accusing him of defaming her and trying to extort millions of dollars from her and the bank. Her attorney also claimed that Rana had previously filed sexual harassment claims at former workplaces.

According to the New York Post (NYP), court filings filed by Hajdini’s lawyers on Thursday revealed a series of disturbing emails she allegedly received.

In the April 30 message, obtained by The Post, the sender, whose name has been redacted, wrote: “I hope you get gang-raped to the point where you want to kill yourself because you realize what a worthless bitch you are. Kill yourself. I sincerely hope your family is dying slowly and painfully of aggressive cancer.”

Another email sent on May 1st read: “Omg you bad girl get out of me you’ve got hips damn you I want to come across the table to you and tell you I want a new bonus and a faithful Christmas card because I have to make a Cannon for you and I won’t steal.”

A separate May 1 email with the subject line “Your new toy” said: “I like everything I’ve read about you so far. My name is (redacted) and if you need a slave I’ve been looking for a master.”

Another message read: “If I could just f–k you do it really well I’d be president of Chase lol I hope you’re in a good mood when you’re all over the news…..every man in America wants to f–k you right now….hope I get it.”

Purported settlement offer by JPMorgan

Hajdini’s lawsuit follows a Wall Street Journal report that revealed JPMorgan Chase offered Rana a $1 million settlement to drop the case. However, Rana turned down an offer from the country’s largest bank and reportedly sought a bigger payout before finally going public with his allegations.

JPMorgan said it conducted an internal investigation and found no evidence to support the claims. The bank added that the settlement offer was aimed at protecting Hajdini, whose reputation could suffer as a result of the allegations.

He claims that Rana lied about her father’s death

According to The Post, Rana allegedly lied to JPMorgan about her father’s death in order to receive nearly three months of paid leave. He allegedly used the time to prepare his lawsuit against Hajdini and the bank.

Rana informed his superiors in mid-December 2024 about the alleged death of his father Chaitanya, claiming he needed time off to be with his family, sources told The Post.

However, when The Post contacted Chaitanya Rana on Sunday, he was reportedly “alive and well” at the family’s $1.75 million home in Vienna, Virginia. Chaitanya claimed he knew nothing about the legal dispute.

“I don’t know anything about it. He didn’t talk to us or anything,” he told The Post. “He’s my son. He’s a good guy.”

Rana reportedly combined several forms of paid leave with five days of bereavement leave, sources told The Post. He was also reportedly allowed to telecommute from fall 2024 after informing JPMorgan executives that his father was seriously ill.

According to people familiar with the issue, he allegedly used up multiple vacations from the beginning of March to the end of May last year, when the first draft of the complaint was sent to the bank’s legal team.
