Delhi High Court notifies designated court to deal with criminal cases arising out of exam document leaks

The Delhi High Court on Thursday (July 23, 2026) notified the designated court to deal with criminal cases arising out of paper leak and also use of other unfair means in public examinations.

The move comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Thursday (July 23) that fast-track courts would be set up to quickly deal with paper leak cases.

In a notification, the High Court administration said that the court of Clerk of Court Anu Grover Baliga will, with immediate effect, function as a “Specially Designated Fast Track Court” to try offenses under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Fraudulent Means) Act, 2024 and related offences.

The special court will operate from the Rouse Avenue Court Complex.

Earlier in the day, amid ongoing student protests over the NEET paper leak, PM Modi said that the welfare and interest of the country’s youth is the government’s top priority and no one who tries to harm their future will be spared.

Prime Minister Modi said the government has decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and severe punishment of those involved in the paper leak.

He said he directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary action on the paper leak issue.
