Delhi News: Connaught Place shops advised to remain closed after 6.30pm today amid CJP protest; Arvind Kejriwal reacts | Today’s news

Commercial establishments in Connaught Place, including shops, offices and restaurants, will close till 6.30 pm on Thursday after the New Delhi Traders Association (NDTA) issued an advisory in view of the prevailing situation in and around the area amid the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar.

In a circular issued on Thursday, the NDTA said the decision follows the telephonic instructions of the chairman and deputy chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), who advised all businesses operating in Connaught Place to close by 6.30 pm for the day.

“Orders to close all shops in Connaught Place by 6.30pm tonight. Heavy security. Piles of ambulances. Will the Modi government attack its own children again at Jantar Mantar today?” said Arvind Kejriwal.
