Diljit Dosanjh has joined the list of personalities supporting the nationwide student protest led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The Ringer actor spoke about the alleged police brutality in Delhi on July 20.
“What happened today was very unfortunate. Students should not be treated like this. I request the authorities to listen to the demands of the students. The voice of the people is the voice of God,” wrote Diljit Dosanjh on his Instagram Stories.

“I have been called ‘anti-nationalist’ many times before. Even now I will be called ‘anti-nationalist’ again. After the farmers’ protest, I faced a lot of opposition and legal problems that I cannot even discuss. Rest easy, God is watching everyone – may God do what is right,” he added.

The protest of the Janta cockroach party was supported by several prominent personalities. The student-led agitation continues at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
Protesters demand education reforms and measures against paper leaks. They also want the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET-UG concerns.
On July 20, Shabana Azmi marched there with students and recited poetry. It demanded 6% of GDP to finance the health and education sectors.
