Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke apologized to supporters after the July 20 protest. He specifically focused on girls who were allegedly beaten by the police.
“I apologize to all our supporters, especially the girls who were brutally beaten by the police. We could have done better. I could have done better to protect you from the inhuman acts of the Delhi Police,” the CJP founder wrote on X.

The CJP alleged that the police used excessive force, resulting in injuries to several students and specific instances of brutality against prominent activists, including dragging and manhandling.

CJP blames police brutality
The CJP has alleged serious police brutality during a march towards Parliament on Monday. They claim that actors Prakash Raj and Shabana Azmi were assaulted. Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Gitanjali was also allegedly targeted.
According to the CJP, the police brutally attacked the truck carrying these figures. One protester was reportedly dragged and chased by police.
CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka claimed that Gitanjali was being dragged by the hair. He claimed the youths were beaten to the point of smashed heads and broken ribs. Ranka described the response of the police as unprecedented. They were clearly instructed to be brutal, he said.

He warned that the protest will only grow now. The group insisted on staying until Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down.
Ranka also criticized the government’s action on Monday as ultimately fruitless. He said five hours had yielded no meaningful response. According to him, any further negotiations must take place at the place of the protest.
Delhi Police denies brutality
However, the Delhi Police categorically rejected these allegations as false and misleading. She specifically denied the claims involving a 12-year-old girl named Geetanjali. According to the police, there was no such assault, hair pulling or head injury. They also dismissed reports of 40-50 injured.
Despite the tension, CJP representatives met Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda. This marked their first formal involvement with the center. Ranka said Nadda had asked for more time to consult the BJP leadership. A formal response to the group’s demands has not yet been given.
