A Namma 112 call helps the police save the woman

Namma 112 Emergency Response System and Hoysala Patrol Team helped save the life of a woman who allegedly attempted suicide by ingesting tablets near the TMC office.

According to police, on July 19 at 5:36 p.m., a passer-by called Namma 112 and reported that a woman was trying to end her life due to alleged family issues. The incident took place near the TMC office in Vidhana Soudha police station jurisdiction.

The emergency dispatch immediately alerted Hoysala-43 attached to the commercial street police station. Assistant Sub-Inspector Umapathi J. and Senior Constable Dundappa T., who were on patrol duty, rushed to the spot and reached within six minutes.

When the police officers realized that the woman needed urgent medical attention, they immediately took her in an autorickshaw to the nearest hospital, where she was treated in time.

Doctors later confirmed that the woman was out of danger. After ensuring the stabilization of her condition, the Hoysala team handed her over to the police for further legal formalities and follow-up.
