IPL 2026: SRH script history, rewrite record books with brutal attack on RCB
Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad (ANI Photo) Sunrisers Hyderabad once again switched their batting into complete destruction mode as they smashed 255 for 4 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Hyderabad to continue their record-breaking IPL 2026 campaign. The mammoth total was SRH’s second highest score against RCB after their incredible 287 for 3 in Bengaluru during IPL 2024. More importantly, it further cemented Hyderabad’s reputation as the most explosive batsmen in IPL history. With this innings, SRH registered their ninth IPL 2026 total of over 200, the most by any team in a single season. They have moved ahead of Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings, who have posted eight totals of more than 200 in IPL 2025 and 2026 respectively.

Abhishek blasted 56 off just 22 balls and dismantled former SRH teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar early in the innings. Kishan then anchored the attack with a brilliant 79 off 44 balls before Klaasen unleashed complete mayhem with a 24-ball 51. Klaasen’s attack on Josh Hazlewood completely shifted the momentum, with the South African smashing 27 runs in one over to unravel RCB’s plans. Hyderabad ended up with 20 fours and 16 sixes, proving yet again why their fearless approach to the bat has become the biggest talking point of IPL 2026.
