Singapore-based low-cost carrier Scoot has announced that its flights to Visakhapatnam will operate from the upcoming Alluri Sitharama Raju International Airport in Bhogapuram from July 8, 2026.
In a statement issued to business partners, the airline said operations will be moved to Terminal 1 of the new airport, while retaining the existing airport code “VTZ”.
The airline said the new airport is located about 50 km from Visakhapatnam city and advised passengers to reach the airport at least 120 minutes before departure to complete check-in procedures.
According to the announcement, check-in counters would open two and a half hours before the scheduled time of departure. Scoot has also asked business partners to inform passengers with existing bookings of the airport change by 10 June.
The development comes ahead of the expected commencement of commercial operations at the Bhogapuram International Airport.
