Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd T20I: Live Score and Updates from Bulawayo

FIELD REPORT – Tino Mawayo is on the field. He first points out that the weather in Bulawayo is pleasant. Then he informs that it’s a fresh pitch and it’s pretty busy. Athar Ali Khan joins in and mentions that it’s a slightly better surface and less grass compared to the previous match. Which, he said, should help batsmen produce strikes. But he stresses that it comes with a sense of responsibility as the first six overs will be crucial when the seamers are most likely to find movement off the pitch. That said, he notes, it puts an extra onus on the batsmen, especially against the short ball, an area where Bangladesh have struggled and lost wickets. Do better, he says, and the runs will follow. Tino suggests that caution is key on such a large plot of land. Batsmen need absolute confidence before going big, he says, otherwise looking for gaps for boundaries is a safer route, as a risky hit down the ground of that size increases the chances of losing a wicket and thus putting the team in trouble.
