The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the final answer key for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on Thursday (July 16), paving the way for the declaration of results. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can download the final answer key from the official website neet.nta.nic.in.

According to the NTA, after reviewing the objections raised by the candidates, one question was dropped from each set of questions. The final answer key was prepared after evaluation by an expert jury and is binding.

How to Check NEET UG 2026 Final Answer Key

Candidates can access the answer key by following these steps:

Download the PDF file and save it for reference.

The provisional answer key was released on June 25, giving candidates three days to raise objections.

Students were required to pay 200 per disputed question, the fee being refundable if the objection is found to be justified.

The NTA said all objections were reviewed by subject experts before the final answer key was prepared.

Rechecking after a paper leak

The final answer key is related to the NEET UG 2026 re-exam which was conducted after the original exam was affected by the paper leak.

The initial NEET UG examination was held on 3rd May while the provisional answer key for this test was released on 6th May.

Counseling will start soon

The merit lists, seat allotment and counseling will be processed by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for the All India Quota and the respective State Counseling Authorities.

NEET UG Result will be used for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, B.Sc. Nursing, BVSc & AH and other undergraduate medical programs.

Candidates have been advised to rely only on official counseling portals and beware of scam calls or websites offering admission or score improvement.

NEET UG 2026 result declared: 11.21 lakh candidates qualified

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday announced the results of the National Entrance Test (Undergraduate), NEET (UG) 2026, with 11.21 lakh candidates qualifying for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses across the country.

Almost 20,000 candidates applied

A total of nearly 20 thousand candidates appeared for NEET UG 2026, which was held on June 21 at 5,440 examination centers in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. The exam was held in 13 languages ​​including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Assamese, Urdu and Urdu.

More than 58% of qualified candidates are female, with female candidates also recording higher qualification rates than males.

More than 93% of applicants who scored above 690 were being tested for the first time, with 99% of them between the ages of 17 and 19.
