UoH and IIIT-H sign MoU

The University of Hyderabad (UoH) and the Indian Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H) on Thursday entered into a memorandum of understanding to promote collaborations such as mutual access to dedicated laboratories, high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and library repositories.

In terms of academic restructuring, the MoU allows for active joint teaching, interdisciplinary research and joint supervision of post-graduate and post-doctoral scholars, operating within the set framework of applicable AICTE and UGC regulations.

The agreement also envisages the offering of joint degrees in areas such as VLSI and Semiconductor Technologies and is expected to enhance joint research publications, protect intellectual property rights, joint events and ensure competitive joint extramural grants.

According to a statement on Friday, the agreement was signed in the presence of Vice-Chancellor-in-Charge J. Anuradha, Director (IIIT-H) Sandeep K. Shukla and senior officials from the academic and administrative departments.
