Khan Sir Granted Anticipatory Bail In Patna Coaching Institute Dismissal Case | Today’s news

A Patna court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to tutor Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in connection with a coaching institute dismissal case, Hindustan Times reported.

The Patna civil court also granted anticipatory bail to three employees of his coaching institute, while two security personnel arrested in the case were granted regular bail.

Khan Sir was named in the FIR following an incident related to his coaching institute in Patna.

According to Hindustan Times, his lawyer Arvind Kumar Mouar said the court first granted anticipatory bail to Khan Sir before granting similar relief to three members of his coaching institute.

Mouar added that a total of six people were relieved in the case. Apart from Khan Sir and three employees, two security personnel who were in judicial custody were also released on bail.

Court grants relief to Khan Sir and employees

The case stems from an incident in early June when Khan Sir’s coaching institute was allegedly vandalized by a group of miscreants. During the violence, two of his security guards allegedly opened fire, leading to the registration of an FIR.

The court had earlier granted Khan Sir interim protection from arrest on 9 June, which was subsequently extended to 30 June.

She later reserved her verdict on his preliminary bail plea on July 8 after hearing closing arguments from both sides. The order was scheduled for July 13 because the district judge was on vacation.

During the proceedings, the court also sought details of the arms licenses held by the two security guards after submissions by advocate Satyam Jha, appearing for Khan Sir’s rival, Roshan Anand.

The court has now granted anticipatory bail to Khan Sir and three employees, while two security guards have secured regular bail.
