Uttar Pradesh police have arrested Lucknow University professor Dr Paramjeet Singh for allegedly leaking written exams through audio recordings. He is also accused of having an inappropriate conversation with a female student. A case has been registered at the Hasanaganj police station and the accused professor is being investigated, PTI reported.
The university launched an investigation after allegations surfaced that the accused professor had an inappropriate and derogatory phone conversation with a female student. According to officials, Dr. Paramjeet Singh allegedly offered undue favors and claimed that he could escape the investigation docket.
However, the accused professor claimed that he is being falsely accused due to the university’s “internal politics” as he denied all the allegations. According to university sources, information about the issue first surfaced when a student informed the administration about the alleged incident and audio clips of alleged phone conversations between her and the professor spread on social media.
