
A selection process was held at the Government Polytechnic College, Visakhapatnam on Tuesday where 25 students were selected for the Industrial Training Program in Aeronautical Engineering.
The program is organized by the Learning Links Foundation with support from Boeing’s CSR funds. A total of 71 students took part in the selection process.
Of the selected candidates, 20 were from Government Polytechnic College, Visakhapatnam and five were from Government Polytechnic College, Pendurthi. Among the selected were six female students.
Selected students undergo specialized industrial training in Aerospace Engineering at the MSME Technology Centre.
Deputy Director for Higher Education Dr. MAV Ramakrishna, who attended the program as the chief guest, said that 182 students in six batches have completed the training so far.
Director of the college Dr. KV Ramana, Senior Manager, Learning Links Foundation K. Ratna Sekhar Reddy, Head of Training and Placement Dr. M. Narayana and Mechanical Department staff N. Ravikanth and Poornachari supervised the selection process and guided the students.
Organizers said the training will help students acquire industry-related skills that will improve their job opportunities.
