Prime Minister Narendra Modi needed women’s reservation as a ruse to bring delimitation to the DMK’s defeat in Tamil Nadu, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said on Sunday.
Campaigning jointly with DMK leader and Chief Minister MK Stalin in Hosur, Mr Kharge said the constitutional amendment proposal had nothing to do with women’s reservation, for which the opposition-backed bill had already been passed in 2023.
