Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy attended the consecration ceremony of Gandi Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple in Chakrayapeta mandal of Kadapa district on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).
The temple underwent extensive repairs and renovations and remained closed to devotees during this period. With a formal dedication ceremony, the ‘Jeernoddharana Maha Kumbhabhishekam’, the shrine is now open to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister described it as a great opportunity to attend the consecration of an ancient temple on Hanuman Jayanti.
Mr. Reddy recalled that the NDA alliance government had started renovation and modernization of temples managed by Endowments across the state in a phased manner.
“The plan of the event is to transform temples into vibrant places of worship and provide hassle-free darshan to visiting devotees,” he added.
Legislators R. Madhavi Reddy (Kadapa); Ch. Adinarayana Reddy (Jammalamadugu); Putha Chaitanya Krishna Reddy (Kamalapuram); former MLC Mareddy Ravindranath Reddy; TDP Zonal Coordinator R. Srinivasa Reddy; and District President C. Bhupesh Reddy participated along with the Minister.
