Rohit Sharma was caught up in an awkward yet interesting fan moment ahead of Mumbai Indians’ latest outing, with a brief interaction outside the team bus quickly going viral on social media.
The veteran batsman, who remains one of the most recognizable faces of Indian cricket, was about to board Bombay Indians team bus when an excited fan approached him for a selfie. Known for often obliging fans despite his busy schedule, Rohit stopped to pose.
However, what seemed like a straightforward interaction soon turned into a slightly awkward moment.
Clearly overwhelmed by the chance to take a selfie with the former Mumbai Indians captain, the fan was trying to take a picture after her phone unexpectedly switched off. With the team seemingly ready to move, Rohit looked eager to avoid possible delays and return to the bus.
But the fan seemingly asked him to stay a little longer before he resolved the issue. Rohit was not particularly amused by the delay, though he kept waiting and eventually posed for a selfie.
The moment took an even more vivid turn once the photo was finally clicked and the fan girl burst into squeals of excitement after getting her prized picture with the Indian star. Security personnel quickly stepped in and pushed her aside as Rohit continued on his way.

While it was a light-hearted moment off the field, Mumbai Indians will be hoping that Rohit continues to make headlines for his work in the middle.
The seasoned opener recently made a comeback from injury in emphatic fashion with a match-winning performance against Lucknow Super Giants. Rohit smashed a brilliant 84 to guide Mumbai Indians to a six-wicket win and instantly reminded everyone of the value he brings to the side.
