Farmers of Koruvada village in K. Kotapada mandal of Anakapalli district have approached the revenue authorities to correct the alleged errors in the land records that arose after the recent fresh survey.
In the ‘One Village, One Month, Four Visits’ program organized by the state government, farmers said officials from the Revenue, Rural Development and Irrigation departments, including MRO, MPDO and Irrigation officials, were expected to attend the village grievance meeting, but only revenue officials turned up.
Eight farmers cultivating 1.64 cents in Survey No. 327/4 for the last 50 years said that their lands were wrongly recorded as inam land after Jagananna’s re-survey despite holding pattas and cultivation records. They said a complaint was lodged through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) (ANPL202602236564) and the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) conducted an inquiry but the issue remained unresolved.
The farmers submitted representations to the Tahsildars to get justice. Govinda Rao and M. Ravanamma were among those who presented the petition.
