
The Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department has invited students belonging to the Adi Dravidar community, Adi Dravidar converts to Christianity and tribal communities to pursue higher education abroad for scholarships under the Annal Ambedkar Overseas Higher Education Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2026-27.
Candidates should be admitted to a Master’s or PhD program at a foreign university ranked in the top 1000 according to the QS World University Rankings and their annual family income should not exceed ₹12 lakh.
An applicant for a master’s degree program should not be older than 35 years and a PhD candidate not older than 40 years.
While applying, students should upload the admission letter received from the foreign university, community certificate, recent family income certificate, marks for class 10, class 12, undergraduate and postgraduate programs (if available), UG/PG degree or provisional certificate, Aadhar card, ration card, passport, last three months salary slip of parent or applicant, income tax return size photograph and recent.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the website www.tnadw.gov.in/overseas_scholarship or www.tnadwscholarship.in between 5th May and 5th June. For admission-related queries, students may contact the toll-free helpline at 1800-599-7638.
