The 15th Legislative Assembly was dissolved following orders issued by Governor K Kailashnathan.
A release from the Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday said the 15th Puducherry Legislative Assembly was dissolved “on and from May 5, 2026 as per order of the Lieutenant Governor”.
The dissolution of the existing assembly was a mandatory procedure for the formation of a new assembly after the completion of the elections.
