Rohit staged a strong comeback against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium and played a match-winning over to help Mumbai comfortably chase the big target.Harbhajan said Rohit’s presence on the field made a huge difference to the struggling side and eased the pressure on the rest of the batting line-up.

Justin Langer finds positives in LSG defeat, praises Nicholas Pooran and backs Rishabh Pant“Being in the middle is important. There’s only so much you can do sitting in the trenches. But you can make a difference by being in the middle and Rohit Sharma did exactly that. You needed that foundation to make so many runs and he not only laid the foundation but also built several floors on top of it, leaving very little left for the rest,” Harbhajan told JioStar.Harbhajan praised Rohit’s innings and said it would have been even better if he completed the century. He also believed that Mumbai Indians suffered during Rohit’s absence, especially during their defeat earlier in the season.“It would have been even better if he had got a hundred, but he played exceptionally well for the time he was there,” he added.“I wish his injury had healed a little sooner; who knows, maybe they won a game or two during that losing streak and would still be alive in the competition,” he noted.Despite a difficult season, Harbhajan believes Mumbai still have a slim chance of making the playoffs if they keep winning and other results favor them.“They’ll give themselves a chance if they win every game from there and get to 14 points. Who knows if the other teams start losing, it could be a 14 point clean sheet situation, anything could happen,” he said.
