Malayalam actor Santhosh Nair died on Tuesday (May 5, 2026) in a morning accident near Enath in Pathanamthitta district. The car he was traveling in reportedly lost control and collided with a truck around 6:30 am. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Adoor. His wife was also injured in the accident.
Having acted in more than a hundred films and TV serials since the early 1980s, Santhosh was a familiar face to Malayalam audiences. The actor, who was on a hiatus, recently made a comeback in the film Mohiniyattam, which is currently running to packed houses in Kerala.
